She also holds a Certificate in Practical Functional Assessment, has completed CPD for a Registered Behaviour Technician (RBT), and maintains professional registration with the British Psychological Society.
With over eight years of experience, Lydia has supported children and young people across a range of settings including schools, family homes, and hospital environments. This breadth of experience allows her to understand each child in context and tailor support in a meaningful, realistic way.
-
Lydia’s work is grounded in a child-led and relational approach. She believes that progress happens when children feel safe, understood, and respected. Her sessions are nurturing and paced around the individual needs of each child, while also offering reassurance and guidance to parents.
A key part of her work is early intervention. Lydia is passionate about supporting children at the earliest stages possible, helping to build communication, social, and emotional skills before difficulties become more embedded. Early support can make a meaningful difference to a child’s confidence, development, and long-term wellbeing.
She works with children and young people aged 3–18, supporting needs including:
Autism Spectrum Differences (ASD)
Anxiety and emotional regulation
Social skills development
Behavioural challenges
Wider mental health and developmental needs
Her aim is never to “change” a child, but to help them build skills, confidence, and comfort in their world.
-
Parents often comment on the positive progress they see in their child and the calm, understanding way Lydia works. Families value her ability to build genuine relationships, explain strategies clearly, and provide practical support that continues beyond sessions.
