Learning isn’t broken… the system is

We combine expert teaching with therapy-informed support to help children build confidence, understanding, and a love of learning; in a way that works for them, not against them.
Clear. Calm. Reassuring. No fluff.
What We’re About
-
ThinkaLearn is a learning and development service supporting children, young people, and families across Swansea, South Wales, UK.
We work across education and additional learning needs, offering thoughtful, structured support that recognises the whole child, not just the curriculum.
Our work brings together qualified teaching, additional learning needs expertise, and child-centred approaches, delivered online in a way that feels calm, supportive, and effective.
We don’t rush learning.
We don’t force progress.
We build it carefully, together. -
At ThinkaLearn, we understand that learning is rarely just academic.
Confidence, understanding, emotional wellbeing, and the right foundations all play a critical role in a child’s progress, particularly for pupils with additional learning needs (ALN).
We take a structured, personalised approach that adapts to how each child thinks and learns.
Whether a pupil requires targeted academic tutoring, early intervention, or a more flexible, supportive approach to learning, our focus is always on sustainable progress rather than short-term results.
This approach allows us to support:
children in primary education who benefit from early intervention
secondary pupils in KS3 and KS4 who need academic support or confidence-building
learners with additional learning needs who require a more tailored approach
Support can be delivered online as well as in-person depending on the learner, enabling families across Swansea and Wales to access consistent, high-quality provision without geographical barriers.
-
ThinkaLearn works with children and young people at different stages of their educational journey.
In primary settings, our work focuses on early intervention and child-centred support, helping children develop the foundations they need to engage positively with learning.
In secondary education, we offer structured online tutoring for pupils in KS3 and KS4, with specialist teaching in:
computing
computer science
business studies
While our tutoring is open to all pupils, we also support secondary students with additional learning needs who may be struggling to access the curriculum or build confidence within traditional classroom settings.
Children with ALN in secondary schools are often overlooked or misunderstood, not through lack of care, but because teachers simply do not have the time, training, or capacity to provide the individualised support required. ThinkaLearn exists to bridge that gap.
-
We recognise that parents often carry the weight of navigating education and additional learning needs alone.
Many families search online for guidance, only to find information that is fragmented, unclear, or overwhelming. This can leave parents feeling unheard, unsure of what to try next, and worried about making the wrong decision for their child.
ThinkaLearn is designed to act as a trusted hub for parents across Swansea and Wales, offering:
online parent support consultations
clear, practical guidance
downloadable resource packs
information that helps parents feel informed and confident
Our aim is to provide parents with structure and clarity, so they can make decisions based on understanding rather than pressure or uncertainty.
-
We believe children are not defined by labels or difficulties. Every pupil brings strengths, potential, and individuality to their learning journey.
At ThinkaLearn, our role is to create the conditions where that potential can grow; through patient teaching, thoughtful support, and a clear understanding of how learning and development intersect.
Whether supporting a primary child through early intervention, guiding a secondary pupil through exams, or helping parents understand how best to support their child, our focus remains the same:
confident learners, supported families, and meaningful progress over time. -
