support designed around the individual child
at ThinkaLearn, we provide autism-informed educational, social and emotional support for children and young people across Swansea, South Wales and online throughout the UK.
every child experiences the world differently. Some may struggle with confidence, friendships, emotional regulation or school-related anxiety, while others may feel overwhelmed, misunderstood or socially disconnected despite coping well on the surface.
our approach combines education, social understanding and neurodivergent-informed practice to support the whole child, not simply isolated behaviours or academic outcomes.

how we support children and young people
We offer in-person sessions for families across Swansea and surrounding areas in South Wales, alongside remote online support available throughout the UK.
Online sessions provide flexible and accessible support for children and families who may benefit from support within the comfort of their own environment.
emotional regulation
Many children and young people experience difficulties with anxiety, emotional overwhelm or regulating emotions, particularly when navigating school, friendships or unfamiliar situations.
We help children develop:
emotional awareness
coping strategies
self-understanding
confidence in expressing emotions
emotional regulation skills
Our approach is calm, supportive and tailored to the individual child’s needs and communication style.
autism-informed support
Every neurodivergent child experiences the world differently. Some children may struggle with communication, friendships, sensory overwhelm or emotional regulation, while others may mask difficulties during the school day and quietly struggle underneath.
At ThinkaLearn, we provide autism-informed support tailored to the individual child’s strengths, needs and experiences. We work with both diagnosed and undiagnosed children and young people, creating a calm and supportive environment where children feel understood, supported and safe to develop confidence in themselves.
Our approach focuses on connection, understanding and practical support rather than simply managing behaviours in isolation.
educational support
Some children may experience anxiety, overwhelm or frustration around learning and school environments. Others may struggle with confidence, engagement or feeling understood within traditional educational settings.
At ThinkaLearn, educational support is adapted around how the child learns best.
Our autism-informed educational approach focuses on:
reducing overwhelm
building confidence
supporting engagement
understanding learning differences
creating emotionally supportive learning environments
We aim to help children feel more confident and capable in learning without placing unnecessary pressure on performance alone.
confidence & self-esteem
Children who experience social, emotional or learning challenges can often begin to lose confidence in themselves over time.
At ThinkaLearn, we believe support should not only focus on challenges, but also on helping children recognise their strengths, build confidence and develop a more positive understanding of themselves.
We aim to create supportive relationships where children feel heard, respected and understood.
social skills
Social situations can feel confusing, overwhelming or emotionally exhausting for many children and young people.
We support children in developing:
social understanding, communication skills, and conversational skills
friendship confidence
emotional awareness, and perspective-taking
confidence in group and everyday social situations
Sessions are tailored to the individual child and designed to feel supportive, engaging and emotionally safe.
We understand that social difficulties can often affect confidence, anxiety levels and school experiences, particularly for neurodivergent children and girls who may mask challenges during the school day.
